1. Defendant A shall be punished by imprisonment for seven years and by a fine for twenty million won and by imprisonment for two years, respectively.

Punishment of the crime

1. From September 10, 199 to July 11, 2012, Defendant A performed cultural heritage repair work, including the establishment of a promotion plan for cultural heritage repair work, supervision at the construction site, and consideration as to whether payment for design change works is appropriate, in the E-Viewing Culture and Arts Department (former Culture and Tourism Department) mainly located in D, Defendant A performed cultural heritage repair work at the construction site of the E-Viewing Art Department (former Culture and Tourism Department); from November 30, 2006 to February 2, 2009, the G remains exhibition hall located in F (construction work of H Co., Ltd.; construction cost of H Co., Ltd.; total construction cost of KRW 579,350,00) and the exhibition area of the said remains exhibition hall (total construction cost of KRW 347,395,00).

On December 30, 2008, the Defendant received a bribe equivalent to KRW 16,700,000,000 from February 2, 2007 to February 16, 2009, as shown in the attached Table 1, in relation to public officials’ duties, such as having received cash or checks or having received checks on the pretext of being well considered for the convenience of construction and construction from the above B, or having them receive a bribe equivalent to KRW 16,70,00,000,00 in total, on seven occasions in total, in relation to duties of public officials, such as having them receive a travel expense from the representative director B of the above corporation I, under the pretext that he would be able to obtain approval for the construction of the exhibition sector of relics.

B. On September 19, 2007, the Defendant received KRW 500,000,000 from K to the construction site of the above G relics exhibition center and received from K to the representative director of the above HH company a cash of KRW 500,00 from September 19, 2007 to October 24, 2008 for the convenience of construction of the said relics exhibition center, and received KRW 3 million in total under the same name as shown in the annexed crime list 2, as shown in the annexed crime list 2, for the public official’s duties.
