피고인들을 미리 준비하여 둔 장갑을 착용하고, 피해자가 김치를 가져다주기 위하여 다가오자 피고인 A은 피해자의 목을 감싸 쥐고 준비한 칼을 꺼내어 피해자의 목에 대고 “조용히 해라 소리 지르면 다친다.”고 협박하며 피해자를 한쪽 구석으로 몰아 비스듬히 눕혀 놓은 후 무릎으로 피해자의 옆구리를 눌러 피해자를 꼼짝 못하게 하고, 피고인 B은 준비한 테이프로 피해자의 발과 손, 얼굴을 결박하였다.
