Defendant shall be punished by a fine of KRW 1,000,000.

If the defendant does not pay the above fine, the amount of KRW 100,000 shall be paid.

Punishment of the crime

The Defendant is an international marriage broker who registered an international marriage brokerage business under the trade name of “C”.

An international marriage broker shall obtain personal information, such as "a marriage experience and criminal experience," from an international marriage user and the other party to the international marriage brokerage before international marriage brokerage, and provide the other party and the user with the certification granted by a notary public of each relevant country in writing, respectively.

Nevertheless, the Defendant introduced D’s personal information on “a marriage experience, criminal experience, etc.” in F (F, female, 23 years old), which is a female party to Vietnam’s nationality, to D, which was able to enter into an international marriage contract with D, and on March 7, 2015, the E hotel, which was able to engage in international marriage, to view D’s “a marriage experience, criminal career, etc.” without providing D’s personal information in advance.

Accordingly, the defendant did not provide users with personal information in advance and arranged to enter South Korea for international marriage.
