Details of the disposition

The Plaintiff entered the Republic of Korea on June 14, 2005 with a visa for industrial training (D-3), and filed an application for refugee status with the Defendant on August 11, 2011.

On February 28, 2013, the Defendant rejected the Plaintiff’s recognition of refugee status (hereinafter “instant disposition”) on the ground that the Plaintiff cannot be deemed to have “a well-founded fear of persecution” (see Article 2 of the Immigration Control Act (amended by Act No. 11298, Feb. 10, 2012), Article 1 of the Convention on the Status of Refugees, and Article 1 of the Protocol on the Status of Refugees).

The Plaintiff filed an objection with the Minister of Justice on March 20, 2013, but the said objection was dismissed on October 22, 2013.
