Defendant shall be punished by a fine of KRW 1,500,000.

When the defendant does not pay the above fine, 100,000 won.

Punishment of the crime

On May 6, 2008, civil society organizations with 1,500 U.S. beef imports (hereinafter referred to as the “Countermeasures”) filed a national countermeasure conference against all U.S. beef imports (hereinafter referred to as the “Countermeasures conference”) by asserting that “the phase-out expansion agreement of U.S. beef imports entered into with the Government of the Republic of Korea on April 18, 2008 with the U.S., would cause harm to the people’s health rights.”

From May 2, 2008, the countermeasures conference led to the candlelightlight assembly, which was held in Seoul Cheong River square, etc. from May 6, 2008, and opened a candlelight assembly, which is an outdoor assembly after sunset, from May 6, 2008. From May 24, 2008, the countermeasures conference tried to enter into the Cheong River with three-way road demonstration, including a candlelight assembly, after a candlelight assembly.

On the other hand, even though the Government announced the "Reservation for publication in the Official Gazette" on June 2, 2008, the Countermeasures Council decided to hold a 72-hour national behavior for the complete renegotiation of the withdrawal of the public announcement from June 5, 2008 to June 8, 2008, by asserting the withdrawal of the public announcement of the import sanitary requirements of U.S. beef and the renegotiation prior to the agreement on the expansion of import of U.S. beef, and conducted a demonstration with the focus of the major roads in the downtown from June 5, 2008 to June 8, 2008.
