A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than eight months.

except that the execution of the above punishment shall be suspended for two years from the date this judgment becomes final and conclusive.

Punishment of the crime

From January 5, 2012 to March 23, 2014, the Defendant was an operating manager working in the Korea Shipping Association C Branch, from January 5, 2012 to March 24, 2014, and from March 24, 2014, the Defendant was in charge of operating management of passenger ships as an poor operating manager.

The operations manager shall take necessary measures to ensure the safety of passenger ships, such as maintaining the order of entry into and departure from a port, excess of the prescribed number of passengers, whether cargo including vehicles is excessively loaded, engine and communications status, and checking the status of vehicle stuff, etc., and shall conduct an inspection by the captain and the head of the relevant ship, verify and sign the details of the "Report on Safety Inspection of Passenger Ships before Departure" prepared and submitted by the captain, and keep the said inspection report in the operations management office for three months, and record and keep the core details of the inspection, such as information provision, inspection matters, and pointed out, etc. after conducting the safety inspection of passenger ships before departure from the port at each departure from the port, and record and keep the results of the passenger ship visit.
