A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than one year and six months.

However, the execution of the above punishment shall be suspended for three years from the date this judgment becomes final and conclusive.

Punishment of the crime

1. A person related to the instant case’s status B, around December 201, opened an Internet illegal gambling site “C” (Internet website address: D) and employed Defendant, E, F, etc. as management staff. On the other hand, G, H, etc. entrusted the management and operation of the said gambling site server, which is located in the residents of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to G, H, etc.

Accordingly, from December 2012 to March 2019, the Defendant has performed the duties of managing the said gambling site server.

2. No person, other than the Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Foundation or an entrusted business entity, shall issue sports betting tickets (including betting tickets which grant refunds to persons who correctly predicted the result of sports games) or similar things, and provide property or property benefits to persons who correctly predicted the result, or open a place or space for gambling for profit.

In addition, from December 2012 to March 2019, the parties involved in the case set up a server and Internet line, etc. necessary for the operation of the illegal gambling site, such as the statement in paragraph (1), at the City of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from around December 2012 to around March 2019, and, while performing each of the functions as described in paragraph (1), have the account in the name of another person (so-called “so-called “so-called one”) as described in paragraphs (1) through (27) of the attached Table 1 and let the general public gain money from various sports events against the unspecified number of citizens of the Republic of Korea (so-called “betting”), and, in the case of those who failed to pay a certain amount of money, the money was paid to them and operated the said “C’s illegal gambling site” in a way that the Defendant and other persons involved in the case had the same parties to the case. They operated the said “C’s Internet illegal gambling site” through the said account from an unspecified number of users through cash.
