Defendants shall be punished by imprisonment for one year.

However, each of the above two years from the date this judgment became final and conclusive is against the Defendants.

Punishment of the crime

1. No person who arranges or alters a caller's phone number while making phone calls (including text messages) for the purpose of making property profits by deceiving other persons or of harming them by verbal abuse, intimidation, sexual harassment, etc., and mediating another's communications through telecommunications services provided by a telecommunications business operator or providing it for the purpose of communications of other persons;

Nevertheless, around May 16, 2020, Defendant A received a proposal from C, which is an organization of telephone financial fraud (one name “Scam”), to offer payment for the installation of VoIP GTEWAY equipment (hereinafter “compact”) via the Kakaox message in Korea, and accepted the proposal. On May 17, 2020, Defendant A installed one of the aforementioned instruments and one of the co-owners under the building D, Daegu-gu, Daegu that notified C of the said date, but did not properly connect it. As such, Defendant A was urged from the above C to re-establish the relayer via the Kakax message around May 17, 2020.

At around 13:23 of the same day, the Defendants connected all of the heavy meters according to C’s instructions, and Defendant B re-connectiond with the heavy meters antenna in China. From May 17, 2020 to June 1, 2020, the Defendants made it possible for the said persons from May 17, 2020 to “F” the phone number changed through the relayer in China using the Internet phone.

As a result, the Defendants conspired with C, nameless singinging staff to change the caller's phone number for the purpose of taking property benefits by deceiving other persons, and provided them for the purpose of communication by mediating another person's telecommunications services provided by telecommunications business operators or for the purpose of communication by other persons.
