Punishment of the crime

1. The Defendants’ gambling opening places, and the Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Foundation in violation of the National Sports Promotion Act entrusted the sports promotion betting committee with the business of granting refunds to those who win the results of sports games in order to create the National Sports Promotion Fund.

No person, other than the entrusted business entity, shall provide property or financial benefits to persons who issued sports betting tickets or similar things and predicted the outcome thereof.

Defendants, F, and G gather the revenue by opening and operating the private sports promotion betting business website, and Defendant A, in cooperation with F, will take charge of the role of operating the Internet site (H, I, J, and K) together with F, including the role of seeking officetels as a place of crime and collecting money, Defendant B will manage the Internet site such as the operation of the game, and Defendant C will take charge of assisting the operation of the Internet site and the management of money.

According to such division of roles, the Defendants received money from members of the above Internet site from L, M, N, andO to May 28, 2013 in the name of the opening price for sports events and various domestic and foreign sports games in the type of games in Korea and game, and predicted the success and failure of sports by giving a certain score in advance to the weak team of the games, one hand-facing type, one who predicted the outcome of the games in accordance with the special rules set out in advance, and one who predicted the results of the games in accordance with the previous rules, operating the above Internet site in a manner of giving a refund to members who predicted the results of the games, including 132,07,50 won from members, and let members gamble gambling as above, and let members enjoy a total amount of KRW 29,249,000,00.
