Punishment of the crime

No one shall knowingly receive any divulged personal information for profit or for any other wrongful purpose.

Nevertheless, around May 2016, the defendant had been willing to purchase personal information from unspecified persons for the purpose of public relations and advertisement of the stock site operated by the defendant.

1. On May 16, 2016, from around February 21, 2017 to around February 21, 2017, the Defendant transferred a total of KRW 1,230,000 in return for the provision of personal information to the name influor who used the name infinite “C”, and received a total of KRW 1,569, including another person’s name, NAV ID, password, and mobile phone numbers from the above infinite person, despite being aware of the fact that the personal information leaked by hacking, etc. was revealed.

2. On January 24, 2017, from around February 21, 2017 to around February 21, 2017, the Defendant remitted total of KRW 540,000 in return for the provision of personal information to the names influor who used the name “D”, and received a total of KRW 885 personal information including the name, NAV ID, password, and cell phone numbers from the above influor, even though being aware of the fact that the personal information leaked by hacking, etc. was revealed.

As a result, the Defendant knowingly received 2,454 personal information for profit or for an illegal purpose.
