Defendant shall be punished by a fine of KRW 2,000,000.

When the defendant does not pay the above fine, 100,000 won.

Punishment of the crime

The defendant is a person who has been married overseas by the complainant B.

Any person who intends to engage in international marriage brokerage business shall register with the head of a Si/Gun/Gu having jurisdiction over an area where he/she intends to establish a brokerage office in accordance with the standards prescribed by Presidential Decree, such as capital of at least 100 million won, surety insurance, and brokerage offices, after receiving education in order to improve the expertise, awareness of ethics and qualities of international marriage brokers and employees conducted by

Nevertheless, in September 2013, the Defendant had no record of registering the international marriage brokerage business in Ansan viewing, and was given a total of KRW 16,80,000 by November 9, 2013.

Accordingly, the defendant carried out international marriage brokerage business without registering it.
