The Defendant’s KRW 448,698,800 among the Plaintiff and KRW 44,869,880 among them shall be from July 10, 2013, and KRW 134,609,640 among the Plaintiff.

Basic Facts

Under Article 25 of the Industrial Education Enhancement and Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Promotion Act, the Plaintiff is a corporation established to take charge of the establishment of research promotion policies, support for academic exchange activities and industry-academia-research cooperation, management of research tasks, intellectual property management, technology transfer/commercialization, R&D education, etc. The Defendant was appointed as an associate professor on September 1, 2008 and was appointed as an associate professor on October 1, 201, and was appointed as a faculty member of A University on December 28, 201 and served as a professor of veterinary medicine until December 12, 2012.

The National Research Foundation of Korea (former corporations: the Korea Science Foundation, the Foundation of Korea, the Foundation of Korea, was incorporated into the National Research Foundation of Korea as of June 26, 2009 in accordance with the National Research Foundation Act. The National Research Foundation of Korea (hereinafter referred to as the "National Research Foundation of Korea") is a public institution designated as an entrusted executing-type quasi-governmental institution pursuant to Article 5(1) of the Act on the Management of Public Institutions as a corporation established pursuant to the National Research Foundation of Korea for supporting academic and research and development activities.

The Plaintiff and the Korean Research Foundation entered into an agreement on the standard of research and development tasks between the Plaintiff and the Plaintiff on November 2008, with respect to “C” (hereinafter “instant First Research”) which is one of the research tasks of future-based technology development projects, around April 2009, with respect to “D” (hereinafter “instant Second Research”), which is one of the research tasks of the research tasks of the 21st century, and around June 2010, as to “E” (hereinafter “E”) which is one of the research tasks of the biomedical technology development projects, around June 2010, and the Defendant was designated as a person in charge of the instant research.

After entering into an agreement on each of the instant studies, the Defendant shall prepare a number of papers related to the biotechnology, such as stem cells, in Korea and abroad.
