Punishment of the crime

The defendant of "2019 Highest 4928" is the representative director of AI Co., Ltd. in Jung-gu Seoul, Jung-gu, Seoul, who belongs to and worked for the above company.

When a worker dies or retires, an employer shall pay him/her wages, compensations, and other money, valuables, and retirement allowances within 14 days after the cause for such payment occurred, unless there exist any special circumstances.

Nevertheless, the Defendant, who retired from office from around October 1, 2007 to around November 12, 2018, did not pay KRW 1,300,00 of the AJ’s wages on October 1, 2018, and KRW 476.670 of the wages on November 2018, and KRW 2,421,920 of the annual allowances on November 201, 2018, as well as KRW 4,198,590 of the retirement allowances and KRW 14,976,825 of the retirement allowances and KRW 14,925 of the retirement allowances within 14 days from the date on which the grounds for payment occurred, without any agreement between the parties on the extension of the payment date.

The defendant is the representative director of AI Co., Ltd. in Jung-gu Seoul, Jung-gu, Seoul, who works for the above company.

Nevertheless, the Defendant, who worked in Gangnam-gu Seoul Metropolitan Government from June 22, 2018 to July 31, 2019, did not pay 16,514,080 won, such as wages, and retirement pay of 2,386,892 won, from June 29, 2018 to July 31, 2019, as well as 27,235,150 won, including wages, etc. of retired workers N, and 3,418,405 won, including wages, of retired workers, from June 22, 2018 to July 31, 2019, respectively, within 14 days from the date of retirement without an agreement on the extension of the payment period between the parties.
