A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for six months.

However, the execution of the above punishment shall be suspended for one year from the date this judgment becomes final and conclusive.

Punishment of the crime

Any person who intends to convert a mountainous district shall designate its use and obtain permission therefor from the Minister of the Korea Forest Service.

Nevertheless, without obtaining permission from the Minister of the Korea Forest Service, etc., the Defendant illegally diverted a forest of 2,674 square meters in total area to farmland by using cream with a view to cultivating crops in a forest located in B or C on October 10, 2012.
