A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for six months.

However, the execution of the above punishment shall be suspended for two years from the date this judgment becomes final and conclusive.

Punishment of the crime

No person, other than the Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Foundation or an entrusted business entity, shall provide property or property benefits to persons who have issued sports betting tickets or similar things and predicted the result thereof.

A person who operates gambling sites, “F,” “G, H, and “I,” etc. who imitates the operational method of “E,” which is the official online site designated by the Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Foundation as a seller of sports promotion betting tickets in China’s Cheongdo, and the Defendant, upon receiving a proposal from “B” around April 2016, intended to manage the “I” bulletin board of the said gambling site among the said gambling sites.

Therefore, “B, etc.”, etc. had members visiting the gambling site, such as “F”, “G”, “H”, and “I, etc., run in Korea and abroad, and paid game money to members who predicted the game result by multiplying the betting machine by the pre-determined dividend rate, and then transferred the said game machine to the members’ account from April 2016 to August 201. The Defendant promoted the I’s gambling site by means of having members talk their comments on the said website’s bulletin board from around 2016 to August 201.

Accordingly, the Defendant conspiredd with “B,” etc. to engage in acts similar to the issuance of sports betting tickets, and at the same time opened a space for gambling for profit.
