A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than eight months.

40 million won shall be additionally collected from the defendant.

The additional collection charge shall be equivalent to the above additional collection charge.

Punishment of the crime

No person, other than the Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Foundation and an entrusted business entity, shall provide property or property benefits to persons who win the results of the occurrence of voting rights for sports promotion or others similar thereto.

B, C, D, E, and the Defendant: (a) opened and operated an illegal sports gambling site in which “sports soil”, which is a sale of voting website under the National Sports Promotion Act, was satisfyed; (b) B, the overall operation and fund management of the gambling site; (c) D, the collection of passbooks; (d) the solicitation and management of investors and accounts; (c) the membership management, exchange, account management, and the Defendant recruited to perform the duties of advertising and inviting members in Korea.

According to the above public offering, B, C, D, E, and the Defendant: (a) installed computers and Internet communication equipment on a detached house located in F, which is located in the territory of the Philippines, around June 2016; and (b) opened an illegal sports gambling site from June 2016 to June 2017; (c) operated the said gambling site; (d) from September 24, 2016 to June 2017, 100 to around June 2017, the Defendant paid 3,183,458,391 won via the 10 large passbook account, including the I Bank Account (Account Number J)’s account in the name of F; and (e) paid 5,00 to members on the game bridge to increase the number of 10 to 100,000 won; and (e) paid 10,000 won to members on the relevant sports bridge; and (e) paid 10,000 won to members on the sports bridge.

As a result, B, C, D, E, and the Defendant conspired to do acts similar to the issuance of sports betting tickets without being entrusted by the Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Foundation.
