1. Basic facts

A. The Defendant is a telecommunications business operator under the Telecommunications Business Act and a provider of information and communications services under the former Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, Etc. (amended by Act No. 11690, Mar. 23, 2013; hereinafter “Information and Communications Network Act”). The Plaintiffs are those who are currently using information and communications services provided by the Defendant upon entering into a contract to use information and communications services with the Defendant, or upon entering

The summary of the Defendant’s B system is as follows: (a) when the Defendant entered into a contract for the use of information and communications services with the Defendant’s user, the user provides the Defendant with information, such as name, resident registration number, address, etc.; and (b) information, such as telephone numbers, details of the use of services, imposition of charges, etc. while the user uses the service; (c) the Defendant, around March 2007, planned the B system, which is a computer operating system, which was a computer operating system, and completed the said system around February 2008, in order to perform duties, including registering, managing, and settling customer information and imposing fees by settling the details of the user’s use; and (d) around the end of February 2008, the composition of B system is largely divided into “B UI (UI) system, which is implemented by the Defendant’s employee or the Defendant’s agent, and B UI (the physical and virtual vehicle made for temporary or permanent access to communicate between the Defendant and the Defendant’s agent, especially machinery, computer programs, etc.”
