A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for one year.

However, the execution of the above punishment shall be suspended for two years from the date this judgment becomes final and conclusive.

Criminal facts

1. Upon finding out the fact that the security of the website B, Inc., Ltd., the Defendant, through simple manipulation, could easily identify the Internet address (IPs) and the management account (ID) and passwords registered by the buyer of the Kameras, the Defendant used the above information to access the other person's IP camera without permission to view the other person's privacy in real time.

On September 1, 2018, at around 00:59, the Defendant visited the E site (F) using a computer at the Defendant’s residence located in the Michuhol-gu Incheon Metropolitan City CD, and then opened an IP camera web page server installed by the victim G and opened a route to enter the victim’s ID and password, and viewed the victim’s family’s head of the household.

In addition, the Defendant’s aforementioned method from March 3, 2016 to September 19, 2018 from March 10:5, 2016 to September 19, 207:27, the Defendant’s total number of IP at the end is “230” as “231,” and the total number of access “3441” as “342.

As described above, the victims invaded 231 IPC web page servers more than 3,442 times, without access authority, and read images of the victims' privacy that are transmitted in real time through IP cameras, thereby infringing other's secrets processed, stored, or transmitted through the information and communications network.

2. On September 16, 2018, the Defendant: (a) sought a server hacking program using a computer at a place specified in paragraph (1); (b) accessed the said site by accessing the management account to the victim B (I) site of the Intellectual Property Camer sales chain; and (c) invaded on the said site; and (d) obtained 28,069 items of personal information, such as the name, telephone number, e-mail address, and IP camera access information stored in the database of the said site, as indicated in the list of crimes (personal information leakage, etc.).
