1. Basic facts

A. The Defendant L, M, a corporation operating businesses such as the issuance, sale, and management of credit cards, pre-paid cards, pre-paid cards, and pre-paid cards (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Defendant L and M”), and Defendant N, a corporation incorporated by financial institutions through joint investment, is a corporation operating businesses such as credit inquiry and credit investigation business as prescribed by the Use and Protection of Credit Information Act.

The plaintiffs are those who used or used credit cards, etc. after concluding a contract for use and financial transaction with Defendant L, M 1 or 2 companies.

B. The concept of the card accident analysis system and the introduction card accident analysis system (hereinafter “FDS”) are introduced by all domestic card companies as a system to detect abnormal or fraudulent use due to theft, loss, forgery, etc. of credit cards. According to FDS, it is necessary to establish an analysis model based on statistical techniques by utilizing large-scale card use information and pertinent customer information based on past accident transactions and based on the results, if it is discovered that abnormal types of transactions have occurred according to the accident pattern analyzed in the course of using credit cards.

C. The effect of the Defendant L cards’ development services contract and the provision of credit card customer information was created after the introduction of the FDS for the first time around 2008, and the need of the MF was raised on January 30, 2013, and concluded a contract with Defendant N to purchase the FDS business related to the FDS trading within seven months from the date of concluding the delivery term.

The actual substance of the project is as follows: (a) Defendant N’s development personnel, including the O, were put into Defendant L from February 2013 to August 2013, and began FDS development work; (b) from February 2013 to March 2013.
