A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of one year and two months.

Punishment of the crime

No person shall provide property or property benefits to persons, other than the Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Foundation or an entrusted business entity, who issued sports betting tickets or similar things and predicted the result thereof.

On January 2018, B, etc., and the Defendant intended to earn profits by operating “C (D)”, which is an illegal private sports entertainment entertainment site, and the Defendant provided a public relations office for the said gambling site by leasing it, the Defendant served as a public relations office for the said gambling site, and B, etc. served as a role of sending a large amount of advertising note to publicize the said gambling site using Kakakakaoxa, etc., and the under-paid winners et al. conspired to share the roles of taking charge of the management of members of the said gambling site, the provision of information on sports events, the notice of results, and the management of customer centers.

According to the above public invitation, Defendant, B, etc. operated the said gambling site at an office located in the Republic of Korea from January 2018 to November 2018, 2018, and charged cyber money with money deposited from many unspecified members via a large number of bank accounts (Account Number: G) in the name of E Co., Ltd., and caused the said members to gain money by accessing the said gambling site to predict the winning of domestic and overseas sports games, and to make the members predict the winning of the sports games, and to pay dividends according to the fixed dividend rate after the sport is completed, and as a result, the profit and loss was reverted to Defendant, B, etc. and the said members depending on the progress of the sport by recovering the money from the remaining members.

Accordingly, the Defendant, in collusion with B, set up a space for gambling for profit, and at the same time, issued sports betting tickets or similar things to be filled by the Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Foundation or an entrusted business entity.
