Defendant
A shall be punished by a fine of KRW 4,000,00 and by a fine of KRW 2,00,000, respectively.
The above fine is imposed against the Defendants.
Reasons
Punishment of the crime
1. Defendant A served as G University construction environment engineering and associate professor from September 2002.
Defendant
A from around September 1, 2008, the fact in the G University Environment System Laboratory located in Seoul Special Metropolitan City on September 1, 2008, among the research goods, such as reagentss, materials, and equipment necessary to perform various research and development tasks supported by the State agencies, etc., upon receiving H from H, that the amount of KRW 750,000 for the research goods not supplied in accordance with the transaction specification was the same as the price for the research goods that were supplied in accordance with the transaction specification by submitting a false application for payment of research expenses accompanied by the false transaction specification, tax invoice, etc. as if the said amount was the price for the research goods that were supplied in accordance with the transaction specification, and that from around that time until around March 11, 2015, A would make the employee in charge of G University Industry-Academic cooperation, who did not know of such circumstance, pay the said amount to H, directly or directly, through H, the total amount of KRW 163,515,615, etc.
On the other hand, Defendant A submitted an application for payment of research expenses and claimed research expenses as above, and submitted one auxiliary storage (SD) equivalent to KRW 820,000 in total at the market price of KRW 820,550 from around September 25, 2008 at the G University Environmental System Laboratory located in Seoul Special Metropolitan City around September 25, 2008, as shown in the attached Table (4). Defendant A received one of the auxiliary storage devices (SD) equivalent to KRW 22,092,550 in total from around that time to December 30, 2014 from around that time. Defendant A received supply of KRW 6,00,000 in cash from H through K at the above place around June 30, 2009, and received KRW 14,500,000 in total from around that time to December 14, 200.
