A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for one year.

31,000,000 won shall be additionally collected from the defendant.

The additional collection charge shall be equivalent to the above additional collection charge.

Punishment of the crime

The defendant is a reporter who is working as the head of the DNA Seoul news gathering headquarters.

1. On December 2014, the Defendant agreed to receive money and valuables from the F under the pretext of its expenses from related public officials, on the following grounds: (a) upon receipt of a request from the president of the Investment Bank Co., Ltd., the Defendant: (b) to the effect that “I am informed of the military unit; and (c) I am informed of the military unit; and (d) I am to the effect that “I am informed of the military unit; and (d) I am to have the military unit arranged to place.”

Since then, as H was placed as I Military Service Corps around January 2015, the defendant was given KRW 500,000 in cash from F as a solicitation expenditure for public officials of the above military unit around that time, and again received KRW 500,000 in total from the defendant's account under the name of the defendant around 20,000 on the 20th of the same month.

Accordingly, the defendant received money and valuables under the pretext of soliciting the affairs handled by public officials.

2. On March 2015, the Defendant: (a) received a request from K to the effect that “it is in a state in which K L's L L is going to undergo a close physical examination upon receiving a request for a draft physical examination for entry into the military for the entrance of the military; (b) it is difficult to receive a grade for the military unit; and (c) via F, it is necessary to ensure that K can receive a Grade 5 determination by requesting the staff of the Military Manpower Administration who is well inside the military, so that he/she may receive such a grade; and (d) it is necessary to conduct personnel management to the staff of the Military Manpower Administration so that he/she may receive such a rating.

“At the end, L was promised to receive money and valuables on the pretext of the expenses for solicitation against the relevant public officials subject to exemption from military service.”

Since L was subject to a close inspection conducted by N in Daegu Dong-gu M on March 2015 on the 23th of the same month, the defendant is the same.
