Defendant shall be punished by a fine of KRW 2,000,000.

Punishment of the crime

After the Defendant was elected as C Council member at the fifth local election conducted on June 2, 2010, the Defendant was registered as C Council member on April 15, 2014 in relation to the sixth local election, and the same year.

In February 17, 2012, however, the Korea Transport University D Graduate School completed a master's degree course and did not have obtained a master's degree.

By December 22, 200, by distributing approximately 5,400 copies of preliminary candidates’ name cards, stating “a voice high school” and “D graduate school masters of the Korea Transport University”, in the educational background column, from F, located in Chungcheong E, thereby publicly announcing false facts about the academic achievement for the purpose of winning the election.

On May 21, 2014, the Defendant submitted 7,400 copies of election campaign bulletins and 70 campaign posters, stating “a person who is retired from a voice high school” without stating the education period in the educational background column, to the said C election commission. Around that time, the Defendant sent 7,355 copies of the election campaign bulletins to the electorate, and had the said C election commission send 7,355 copies of the election campaign bulletins to the electorate, and attach 8 campaign posters within the constituency, such as H elementary school sentiments, and published false facts about the academic background for the purpose of election.

6. Until March 6, 200, by delivering approximately 3,00 copies of a candidate’s name box stating “audio high school” in the educational achievement column, a false fact was published regarding the academic achievement for the purpose of winning the election.
