A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment with prison labor for not more than ten months.

However, the execution of the above punishment shall be suspended for two years from the date this judgment becomes final and conclusive.

Punishment of the crime

On February 2, 2012, the Defendant purchased the machinery of “diter” in which a program to change the mileage is installed by connecting to semiconductor chips inside the main distance system of automobiles through D, through which the name known at a fishing place that came to know, and used a used car at the request of the owner and employees of the used car in the vicinity of the used car selling company in Daegu area. The Defendant saw the mileage of the used car to change the mileage of the used car at the request of the owner and employees of the used car.

No one shall change the odometer of a motor vehicle except for changes due to breakdown, damage, or any other unavoidable reason prescribed by Presidential Decree.

Nevertheless, on March 2012, at the request of G at the “F funeral ceremony parking lot,” located in Daegu-gu, Daegu-gu, the Defendant received the payment of KRW 100,000 from G using equipment, such as diterter and drone, and then changed the odometer from 190,000 to 18km.

In addition, from March 2012 to June 8, 2016, the Defendant changed the odometer from Daegu City to June 21, 2016 without permission, as stated in the annexed Table of Crimes.
