Defendants shall be punished by a fine of KRW 500,000.

The Defendants did not pay each of the above fines.

Punishment of the crime

Defendant

B is the vice-chairperson of the Dparty E vice-chairperson, Defendant C is the vice-chairperson of the D Party F Organizations, Defendant A is the party member of the D Party, and the Defendants are members of the 21st National Assembly member election implemented on April 15, 2020 to support H who wishes to become a candidate belonging to the D Party in the G constituency in the election of the 21st National Assembly member election

No one shall provide money, goods, or other property benefits, or express an intention or promise to offer such benefits (hereinafter referred to as "contribution") to a person who intends to become a candidate in connection with an election or a person in the constituency concerned, an institution, organization, facility, or an elector, or a meeting or event of the elector in connection with the election, or a person, institution, organization, or facility outside the constituency concerned, even if there is such a meeting or event.

Defendant B and the Defendants: (a) at the teahouse of “J” located in I on March 20, 2020; (b) at the meetings held by the said H to listen to the recommendations of the electorates and reflect them in the pledge, etc.; (c) Defendant C expressed to the Defendant B that the drinking value of the participants attending the above meetings would be calculated in cash, such as “one cash,” etc.; and (d) Defendant B provided approximately 20 electorates attending the above meetings with beverages in cash after paying the drinking value in cash, and provided approximately KRW 130,000 in total at the market price.

Accordingly, the Defendants made a contribution act on behalf of a candidate for the election of the 21st National Assembly member.

2. Defendant A, at around 14:00 on March 12, 2020, attended a meeting held by the said H to listen to the recommendations of the electorates and reflect them in the pledge, etc., Defendant A provided 12 electorates attending the said meeting with beverages, such as coffee, which amounting to 4,500 won in total at the market price, to 12 electorates attending the said meeting.

Accordingly, the defendant made a contribution act for a person who wishes to be a candidate in relation to the 21st election of National Assembly members.
