Defendant shall be punished by a fine of KRW 1,500,000.

Punishment of the crime

The defendant, as the representative director of C, a stock company in Pakistan, is an employer who runs freezing machinery manufacturing business by employing two full-time workers.

1. When a worker dies or retires, the employer shall pay the wages, compensations, and other money or valuables within fourteen days after the cause for such payment occurred;

Provided, That in special circumstances, the period may be extended by mutual agreement between the parties.

Nevertheless, the defendant is working in production service from March 1, 2013 to February 28, 2014 at the above workplace.

The retired worker D's total wages of 8,926,780 won, including 1,00,000 won on December 2013, 2013, did not pay 8,926,780 won, respectively, within 14 days from the date of retirement, as described in the following table.

Retirement allowances of retired workers D 1,00,000,000 and from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013.

The retirement allowance of retired workers E, including 2,000,000 won, was not paid 3,000,000 won in total to two retired workers within 14 days from the date of retirement without agreement between the parties on the extension of the due date.
