A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for six months.

Punishment of the crime

On December 11, 1998, the Defendant was sentenced to imprisonment with prison labor for 8 months and a fine of 500,000 won for gambling opening at the Seoul District Court.

1. ‘도리짓고땡’ 도박 범행 피고인은 2012. 12. 14. 21:30경부터 23:30경까지 경기 양평군 D에 있는 ‘E 펜션’에서, 도박장을 개장한 사람을 뜻하는 속칭 ‘하우스장’ F, 실제로 화투패를 나누어 갖고 도박을 하는 사람을 뜻하는 속칭 ‘앞전’ 선수 G, H와 함께 모포 주변에 둘러앉아, 패를 돌려 나머지 선수들 전체와 승패를 겨루는 사람을 의미하는 속칭 ‘오야’가 화투 20장을 돌려 각자 5장씩을 갖고, 그곳에 모인 I 등 20여 명의 속칭 ‘찍새’(도박판 주변에 둘러앉아 앞전 뒤에서 돈을 거는 사람을 뜻함)들이 오야의 패를 제외한 나머지 앞전의 패에 각자 돈을 건 다음, 위 패 5장 중 3장을 모아 10단위를 만들고 남은 2장의 끗수를 오야와 비교하여 승패를 가리는 방식으로 약 2시간 동안 1판에 각자 약 10~20만 원씩의 돈을 걸고 상습으로 속칭 ‘도리짓고땡’이라는 도박을 하였다.
