The sentence of sentence against the defendant shall be suspended.

The charge of violation of the Punishment of Tax Offenses Act among the facts charged in this case is acquitted.

Punishment of the crime

No person shall clear any timber product that is not subject to standard or quality inspection by the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute, and no person who has filed an import declaration shall import such product without meeting the requirements for permission, approval, recommendation, certification, or other conditions necessary for import under statutes or import such product by fraudulent means.

Around January 16, 2014, the Defendant’s fuel team staff entered into a wood pellets 28,053,000 km (market price of 8,908,712,645 won) purchased from B on or around January 16, 2014 with an import declaration (number C) from the Korea Forestry Promotion Agency and had not undergone a wood standard and quality inspection from the Korea Forest Agency, and from that time until August 6, 2015, up to 386,850,714 km (market price of 107,181,465,901 won) on a total of 435 times, as shown in attached Table 2 of the List of Crimes (market price of 107,181,465,901 won). Accordingly, the Defendant did not undergo the standard and quality inspection of the employees in charge and did not prevent the Defendant from violating the duty of import and import of wood pelpel in the name of the Defendant.
