Defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for a year and February of one year and a fine of twenty thousand won.

The defendant does not pay the above fine.

Punishment of the crime

The Defendant, while working as the branch office of the Korea Rural Community Corporation E (hereinafter referred to as the “E branch office”) from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2014, was a person in charge of overall affairs, including ordering construction works, concluding contracts, purchase of goods, etc., and F was a person who was engaged in an order for construction works for the KG.

On March 2, 2012, the Defendant: (a) received a proposal from the E branch office located in He, the E branch office located in He, which was ordered from F to install “I repair facility renovation and repair pumps in preparation for disasters” from F; and (b) accepted the proposal from the K branch office in order for the KG to receive a contract by a private contract; and (c) around May 2, 2012, the E branch office ordered the K branch office to award the said construction cost of KRW 435 million to the K branch office by a private contract.

In addition, on May 2012, the Defendant received KRW 5 million in cash from F in return for the order for the said construction from the J apartment underground parking lot in Gwangju Northern-gu, Gwangju, and KRW 15 million in cash from the same place on March 2013, respectively.

Accordingly, the defendant accepted a bribe of 20 million won in total in relation to the duties of officers and employees of the Korea Rural Community Corporation who are deemed public officials.
