Defendant shall be punished by imprisonment with prison labor for a year and six months and by a fine of twenty million won.

The defendant does not pay the above fine.

Punishment of the crime

The Defendant was commissioned as a member of the Korea Environment Corporation Design Deliberation Committee from May 28, 2010 to December 2, 2011 while serving as the Director of the Korea Environment Corporation, and was selected as a design advisory committee member in various design and construction package deal projects ordered by the Korea Environment Corporation, the Defendant was in charge of evaluating the design documents submitted by each company participating in the bidding.

1. On December 1, 2010, the Defendant was selected as a review committee member of the “N Project” ordered by the Korea Environment Corporation.

The Defendant, at the time of design deliberation, awarded a higher score to the P Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “O”) that applied for bid for the above project, and received KRW 10 million in cash in return for giving a higher score to P at the time of design deliberation from P’s business affairs R.

2. On January 5, 2011, the Defendant was selected as a member of the Design Advisory Committee of the “S Installation Project” that was ordered by the Korea Environment Corporation and applied for a bid to the said project. On January 25, 2011, the Defendant received KRW 10 million in cash from R in return for the payment of the higher points to theO at the time of design deliberation.

Accordingly, the defendant received a total of KRW 20 million bribe in relation to the duties of the Korea Environment Corporation employees who are deemed public officials.
