Defendant

A shall be punished by imprisonment for four years, and imprisonment for three years and six months, respectively.

Punishment of the crime

On April 2013, the Defendants: (a) leased officetels and arranged commercial sex acts; (b) Defendant B was willing to substitute funds such as officetel rent; and (c) Defendant A was willing to recruit males and recruit females to engage in commercial sex acts.

On May 1, 2013, the Defendants: (a) leased the Gangseo-gu Seoul Metropolitan Government Ftel 1224; (b) purchased goods necessary to operate commercial sex acts; and (c) stated in the indictment that Defendant B alone leased an officetel and purchased goods; (b) comprehensively taking account of the evidence, the agreement on the lease of an officetel (the Defendant leased in the name of the Defendant A) and the purchase of goods was made by the Defendants under the initiative of Defendant A; and (c) in the process, Defendant B was recognized to have received funding, the foregoing written indictment was corrected.

Defendant

A around 12:00 on May 13, 2013, G, a runaway juvenile (hereinafter “Li, 14 years of age”), puts a letter on the Internet hosting room to the effect that “I will bring about KRW 90,000,000 out of 150,00,000,” and said G to the effect that “I will bring about sexual traffic,” and that “I will bring about KRW 150,00,000 out of 1,50,000,000,000.”

After that, from May 14, 2013 to June 22, 2013, Defendant A had G, a juvenile, engage in sexual traffic over 70 times in total with many unspecified adults, who had been recruited by telephone or Internet hostings, on 2 to 70 occasions a day. Defendant B, despite having known on June 1, 2013 that sexual traffic is a juvenile G, he/she provided that Defendant A had the said officetel engaged in sexual traffic as above, and provided the said officetel as a place for sexual traffic, and received a distribution of profits therefrom.

As a result, Defendant A’s business is to arrange the purchase of sex by juveniles from May 14, 2013 to May 31, 2013. The Defendants conspired to arrange the purchase of sex by juveniles. From June 1, 2013 to June 22, 2013, the Defendants are juveniles.
