Defendant shall be punished by a fine of KRW 1,500,000.

Where a defendant fails to pay a fine, 100,000 won shall be one day.

Punishment of the crime

Anyone who intends to convert a mountainous district shall obtain permission from competent authorities, including the Minister of the Korea Forest Service.

Nevertheless, on December 2, 2013, the Defendant, while doing construction work for the construction of a factory site in the Hancheon-si, Macheon-si, Macheon-si, a neighboring mountainous district, damaged the area of 336 square meters of forest land without permission, and diverted it to a mountainous district on three lots outside Macheon-si, an adjacent mountainous district.
