Defendant shall be punished by a fine of KRW 1,000,000.

To order the defendant to pay an amount equivalent to the above fine.

Punishment of the crime

The Defendant is a corporation established on October 19, 200 for the purpose of construction in Sejong Special Self-Governing City B located in Sejong Special Self-Governing City for the purpose of construction business, which is a business owner who performs the C Act in the cost of construction 5,839,243,00 won from the Postal Services Procurement Center of Korea Post, the ordering person.

As a result of supervision conducted by the Daejeon Regional Labor Agency on October 20, 2016 at the above site, D who committed an act with respect to the Defendant’s business is as follows:

“A worker’s failure to take safety measures to prevent industrial accidents, as described in the paragraph, violates the Industrial Safety and Health Act.

(a) Where a business owner installs a safety rail in order to prevent workers from falling, etc., he/she shall install a structure that meets the regulations, such as the upper rail, middle rail, and rail pole, and the end of a rail and rail pole (Article 13 of the Rules on Industrial Safety and Health). However, he/she did not install an interim rail pole in the outer non-inter-surbing assembly section (second part of a belt).

B. A business owner is required to install a studio protection measure, such as a safety rail, fence, vertical fall telescope, or cover, at a place where a worker is at the risk of falling, as a end or opening of the work plate and passage, with sufficient strength (Article 43(1) of the Rules on Industrial Safety and Health).
