Defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for a period of two years and six months and by a fine of three thousand won.

The defendant does not pay the above fine.

Punishment of the crime

The defendant is a police officer who serves as an Inspector in the Seoul C police station guard traffic and traffic survey system.

1. On November 13, 2013, D, while driving a car at around 13:00 on the same day, received a request from the Defendant for the attendance of the perpetrator of the instant accident on November 10, 2013, following the investigation at the C police station office around the same day, D, prepared a written statement indicating the accident of the main body and returned to the Republic of Korea after being investigated at the C police station’s office.

D After being examined as mentioned above and being examined, D made a solicitation to the defendant to easily dispose of the above case through the land owner in order to cover the above case, and the defendant accepted it and tried to change the above case into the violation of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Settlement of Traffic Accidents.

From November 13, 2013 to December 10, 2013, the Defendant concealed the statement of traffic accident occurrence situation as of November 10, 2013, which was prepared and submitted by C police station guard, transportation, and the office of the Investigation Team in Seoul F, and the public document prepared and submitted by D in the office of the Investigation Team in connection with the accident.

B. From November 13, 2013 to December 10 of the same year, the Defendant changed the content of the statement on the occurrence of a traffic accident in the name of D, a private document concerning a certificate of fact, by means of adding “(the name of contact address)” to the statement on the occurrence of a traffic accident prepared by D on November 13, 2013 without authority for the purpose of exercising the said C police station guard traffic and the office of the Human Data Investigation Team, and exercised it by binding it on the investigation records around that time.
