Reasons
Punishment of the crime
1. Defendant A is a person who serves as a professor of physical department at a F University located in Busan Southern-gu E.
From May 1, 2009 to April 30, 2012, the Defendant, as a responsible researcher of “G”, a national research task equivalent to KRW 156,240,00, the total project cost of which entered into an agreement with the Korean Research Foundation, which was a government-funded institution, was registered as a research assistant of the said research task.
However, among the Does implementing the above research task, as the Defendant’s Ha had the Defendant’s Hai enlisted in the military for military service from March 1, 2010 to June 30, 2012, it was required to file an application for exclusion from H from the research assistant. From July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2012, the Defendant is a responsible researcher for “research on academic affairs of South Korea and North Korea,” which is a national research task in an amount equivalent to KRW 506,725,00 of the total project cost that the F University entered into an agreement with the Korean Research Foundation, which is a government-funded institution, and takes overall charge of the implementation of research tasks, including the implementation of research expenses, management, etc., and the Defendant’s Hah is the subject of the said research.
