Defendant shall be punished by a fine of KRW 5,000,000.

When the defendant does not pay the above fine, 100,000 won.

Punishment of the crime

Except as provided for in the Public Official Election Act, no one shall distribute or spread any newspaper or other publication containing an article related to the election in a way other than ordinary ways, reproduce and distribute such article, use it unlawfully, and slander a candidate by openly pointing out a fact through a newspaper or other means for the purpose of preventing the election from being elected.

Nevertheless, the Defendant, on June 4, 2014, supported the candidate E going to the constituency of a member of the National Assembly based on the Dodong local election at the same time, provided information to the candidate F, who had a malicious appraisal against the other candidate F, for the purpose of preventing the election of F from being elected, published the suspicion for the exclusive use of the discretionary project cost for F to the local newspaper examiner, and then printed the relevant newspaper engineer to distribute it in the constituency.
