Defendant shall be punished by a fine of 6 million won.

If the defendant does not pay the above fine, KRW 100,000.

Punishment of the crime

The defendant is a personal building business operator who resides in Dobong-gu Seoul Metropolitan Government and 101 Dong 510, and is an employer who runs a construction business by using a daily worker at the site of the construction work site of Ilsan Down-do.

When a worker dies or retires, the employer shall pay the wages, compensations, and other money or valuables within 14 days after the cause for such payment occurred.

Provided, That the date may be extended by mutual agreement between the parties in extenuating circumstances.

Nevertheless, the Defendant did not pay 14,915,00 won, including the monthly wage of 3,230,000 won on December 1, 2016 and the monthly wage of 14,915,000 won for five retired workers, such as the details of the delayed payment, within 14 days from the date of each retirement without any agreement on the extension of payment date between the parties.
