1. Imprisonment with prison labor for Defendant B, C, D, E, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N,O, P, Q, and R for 10 months.

Punishment of the crime

No one shall offer, express an intention to offer, or promise to offer money, goods, entertainment, or other benefits to a person who operates or manages a broadcast, newspaper, communication, magazine, or other publications, or a person who publishes, gathers materials, writes, or reports, for an election campaign, and no person who operates or manages a broadcast, newspaper, communication, magazine, or other publications, or who publishes, gathers materials, writes, or reports, shall receive, solicit, demand, or promise to offer such money, goods, entertainment, or other benefits as mentioned above.

1. Defendant A was a journalist who published “AG” as a local newspaper from around 1998, and published a promotional news article for those who wish to run for an election in line with a local election on June 4, 2014, and received money and valuables in return.

On February 2, 2014, the Defendant stated, at the office of AG located in BH before the Seocho-gu, that “Other candidates will take the articles of other candidates, but will take the articles of special collection on the face of the test that the Plaintiff prepared.” The Defendant demanded on the 12th day of the same month to purchase lifelong subscription rights, and then, on the 25th day of the same month, posted promotional special collection articles to C and received KRW 500,000 in return, and received KRW 50,000 from August 2013 to April 2014, 2014, as indicated in the attached list of crimes.

6. 4. From 17 local election candidates, 50,000 won were received in total from each of 50,000 won in return for publication of promotional characteristics articles.

2. Defendant B was a preliminary candidate for the AI head of the above local election, and was demanded by the above A to receive AG lifelong subscription around August 2013, and provided KRW 500,000 to the above A for election campaign around August 30, 2013.

3. Defendant C is a preliminary candidate for the AI of the Do-won of Jeollabuk-do Council. On February 2, 2014, the Defendant posted promotional articles from the above Party A to the first police officer.
