Defendant shall be punished by a fine of KRW 3,000,000.

If the defendant does not pay the above fine, 50,000 won.

Punishment of the crime

Any person who intends to convert a mountainous district shall obtain permission for the use thereof from the Minister of the Korea Forest Service.

Nevertheless, the Defendant, without obtaining permission for conversion of a mountainous district in 2009, removed trees, such as pine trees, by using a cream hole and insertion, etc., on a 1,620 square meters of 17,802 square meters of land in Echeon-si, Leecheon-si, 200, and converted spring sublim trees into farmland (water sources) in 2010.
