A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for six months.

However, the execution of the above punishment shall be suspended for one year from the date this judgment becomes final and conclusive.

Punishment of the crime

The defendant is serving as public interest service personnel in the field of environmental protection and surveillance support in the Geum-gu Busan Metropolitan Government Office B.

No public duty personnel shall desert from their service for at least eight days in total without justifiable grounds.

Nevertheless, the Defendant did not attend without permission for March 10, 2013 (18. to 29.), for April 16, 2013 (1. to 19.) and for May 19, 2013 (1. to 28.).

Accordingly, the defendant, as a public interest service personnel, has deserted his service for at least eight days in total without justifiable grounds.
