A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for one year.

However, the execution of the above punishment shall be suspended for two years from the date this judgment becomes final and conclusive.

Punishment of the crime

The defendant is the representative of C Co., Ltd., a company that manufactures food with Kimbed Kim in Chungcheongnam-dong, Chungcheongnam-dong.

A business operator who manufactures or processes foods or food additives and his/her employees shall observe matters to be observed in using water recognized as fit for drinking time after undergoing inspections in accordance with water quality standards in the time of manufacturing foods, for raw material management, manufacturing process, and other sanitary management of foods, etc.

Nevertheless, the Defendant failed to comply with the matters to be observed by business operators, etc., including washing, processing, producing, and selling food, using the above groundwater during the period from around November 29, 2017, although groundwater used for provisional disclosure of food, such as Kim Ged, by D, which was a water quality inspection institution, was judged inappropriate to be used as a result of simple detection by D on November 29, 2016.
