A A shall be punished by a fine of KRW 5 million, and Defendant B shall be punished by a fine of KRW 3 million.

The above fine is imposed against the Defendants.

Punishment of the crime

피고인들은 서울 강동구 D 건물 지하 2호 ‘E’ 피씨방에서 다중 접속 온라인 역할 수행 게임 (MMO RPG, massive multiplayer online role-playing game) 인 삼국 제왕 전 2 게임 물 내에 경마 모사류 미니게임을 손님들에게 제공하여 사행행위를 하게 하기로 공모하고, 피고인 A은 업주로서 영업 전반에 관하여 지시를 하고, 피고인 B은 위 피씨방에 상주하며 손님들에게 상품권을 판매하고 게임 머니 환전방법을 안내하기로 하였다.

From November 201 to April 15, 2014, the Defendants installed 30 computers in the above “E” and purchased 10,000 won per heading 9,00 won merchandise coupons per heading 1,00 won, sold to customers for 10,000 won per heading 1,000 won per heading, and after customers accessed the two games before the king of the said third country, they received 100,000 won per heading 1,000 won for merchandise coupons by inserting the serial numbers of merchandise coupons, and then collected 1,00,000 won for each racing in a way of betting each racing in each racing. After doing so, the Defendants made a game by means of acquiring gold in accordance with the prescribed ratio when 1,2, etc. according to the results of the racing, and made customers exchange them with telephone numbers on the computer monitor in cash.

As a result, the Defendants conspired to allow customers to engage in gambling and other speculative acts by using game water.
