Defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for six months and by a fine of 1,500,000 won.

The defendant does not pay the above fine.

Punishment of the crime

The defendant is the representative of the corporation B, which was voluntarily closed on June 26, 2017 from the Seoul Gangseo-gu Office of Education.

1. A person who intends to establish and operate an unreported teaching school shall state his/her personal information, name and location of a teaching school, curriculum, tuition fees, etc. to the superintendent of education in a report on the establishment and operation of a teaching school as prescribed by Presidential Decree;

From July 22, 2018 to August 12, 2018, the Defendant established and operated a non-reported teaching school under the name of “E” for 100 middle and high school students, without reporting to the superintendent of education of Gyeonggi-do, by providing lectures to the said students.

2. Any person who intends to establish and operate a private teaching institute without registration shall register his/her personal information, curriculum, name of instructors, facilities, equipment, etc. with the superintendent of the competent office of education.

From December 30, 2018 to January 9, 2019, the Defendant established and operated a non-registered private teaching institute under the name of “H” for 10 students of middle and high schools under the name of “H” without registering a private teaching institute with the superintendent of education of Gyeonggi-do from around December 30, 2018, by providing lectures to the said students.

3. No person who removes a notice of an unreported teaching school or a unregistered private teaching institute shall remove or write off a notice informing that the relevant private teaching institute or teaching school has not been registered or reported by the relevant public official, or has received an administrative disposition under Article 17, without permission.

A. The Defendant posted a notice informing a public official in charge of the competent authorities that the above camp is a non-reported teaching school at both entrances of the places specified in the foregoing paragraph 1, but without permission, on August 2, 2018.
