또한, "뇌혈관질환"중 "뇌졸중(腦卒中)"이라 함은 한국표준질병 사인분류의 대뇌혈관질환 중에서 거미막하출혈, 뇌내출혈, 기타 비외상성 두개내출혈, 뇌경색(증), 대뇌경색(증)을 유발하지 않은 뇌전동맥 또는 대뇌동맥의 폐색 및 협착으로 분류되는 질병(분류번호 I60-I63, I65-I66)을 말합니다.
