Defendant shall be punished by a fine of two million won.

If the defendant does not pay the above fine, KRW 100,000.

Punishment of the crime

The Defendant was engaged in salt sales business with the trade name “D” in Mapo-si, E is a person engaged in salt manufacturing business in the name of “D”, Defendant G is a person engaged in salt manufacturing business with the trade name “I” in H, and Defendant J is a person engaged in salt manufacturing business with the trade name “L” in K.

The salt produced by a salter shall undergo a quality inspection, and shall not be sold, or produced, used, cooked, stored, imported, transported or displayed for the purpose of sale, and foods for sale shall not be sold, imported, displayed, transported, or used for business, unless the quality inspection is marked in compliance with such standards.

1. Around July 2011, the Defendant violated the Salt Management Act: (a) purchased salt 30 km from salt manufacturers E; (b) 30 km from salt 3,600 km; (c) 30 km that did not undergo a quality inspection from the same G; and (d) purchased salt 1,800 gs totaling 6,300 gs, 900 gs, which did not undergo a quality inspection from the same J; and (b) sold 900 gs totaling KRW 16,200,000 to N; and (c) sold 4,500 gs,00,000 won to consumers, such as O, for the purpose of selling remaining salt at a warehouse.

2. The Defendant violated the Food Sanitation Act, as set forth in paragraph (1), sold salt without indicating the name and location of the business at the same time and place as prescribed in paragraph (1).
