The punishment against the Defendants shall be prescribed by a fine of two million won.

Punishment of the crime

A is the joint representative of “C” as the representative of “D,” and Defendant B is the joint representative of “D” as the representative of “E church” as the representative of “D.”

Except as provided for in the Public Official Election Act, no one shall distribute, post, broadcast, news communications, magazine, or other publications, political party or candidate (including a person who intends to become a candidate), or carry out an election campaign by means of an advertisement, letter of personnel management, poster, photograph, document, drawing, printed matter, recording tape, and others similar thereto, which indicate the name of a political party or candidate, or by means of information and communications, establishment of an election organization or private organization, door-to-door visit, or other methods, except as otherwise provided for in the Public Official Election Act, prior to the election campaign period, with the aim of influencing the election, from 180 days before the election day to the election day.

On May 14, 2018, the Defendants decided to simplify Franchising candidates into G reserve candidates at the end of the simplification work for Franchising candidates. On May 15, 2018, at H Office of Education’s Brping room around 14:00 on May 15, 2018, the Defendants publicly announced the fact that “the preliminary candidates were determined to be the Franchising candidates for the 7th simultaneous local elections that will be held on June 13, 2018,” and recruited to publish advertisements that support the franchising preliminary candidates in the local newspapers.

Defendants, in L in J and K located in I on May 16, 2018, are expected to be a preliminary candidate under the title of "M" to the J and L staff in charge of J and L.
