Defendant shall be punished by a fine of KRW 1,500,000.

When the defendant does not pay the above fine, 100,000 won.

Punishment of the crime

The defendant is the representative of D Co., Ltd. who manufactures and sells electric temperature oil sets from 8th floor B808 of Songpa-gu Seoul Metropolitan Government building C.

1. A manufacturer or importer of electrical appliances subject to safety assurance who manufactures electrical appliances subject to safety assurance without filing a safety confirmation report shall conduct a safety confirmation test by model of electrical appliances subject to safety assurance or by a testing agency for safety assurance designated pursuant to Article 11-2 (1) of the Electrical Appliances Safety Control Act, confirm that the relevant electrical appliances conform to the safety standards referred to in Article 11 (3) of the same Act and file a report thereon

Nevertheless, from December 2013 to January 26, 2015, the Defendant manufactured approximately 120 electrical hot water sets (E) which are electrical appliances subject to safety confirmation without filing a safety confirmation report, etc. at the above office.

2. No person who fails to make a safety confirmation report, etc. or to obtain exemption from a safety confirmation report, etc. or fails to undergo a safety inspection shall put a mark of the safety confirmation report, etc. or any other mark similar thereto on any electrical appliances subject to safety confirmation and their packages;

Nevertheless, the Defendant displayed a false safety assurance number (H) that does not change the two letters prior to the safety assurance number (G) in approximately 120 electric temperature series (E), which are electrical appliances subject to safety confirmation manufactured without filing a safety assurance report, at the same time and place as above, and puts a similar mark on the safety assurance report.
