The appeal is dismissed.
Reasons
The grounds of appeal are examined.
Even if the defendant voluntarily surrenders himself, the court may voluntarily reduce the punishment against the person who voluntarily surrenders in accordance with Article 52 (1) of the Criminal Act. Thus, the court below's failure to reduce the number of self-denunciation cannot be said to be illegal.
Therefore, the appeal is dismissed. It is so decided as per Disposition by the assent of all participating Justices on the bench.
