Punishment of the crime

The defendant is the representative director of D, a corporation whose head office is located in Gangdong-gu Seoul Metropolitan Government, who is in charge of business management of the above company.

When a worker dies or retires, an employer shall pay the wages, retirement allowances, compensation, and other money or valuables within 14 days after the cause for such payment occurred.

Nevertheless, the Defendant did not pay the total of KRW 19,165,977 of the E’s wages and retirement allowances of workers E, as stated in the attached crime list, as well as KRW 3,982,380, retired from the said workplace from February 13, 2014 to March 27, 2017, without any agreement on the extension of the payment period between the parties.
