A defendant shall be punished by imprisonment for six months.

However, the execution of the above punishment shall be suspended for two years from the date this judgment becomes final and conclusive.

Punishment of the crime

[2020 order 2457] On January 20, 2020, the Defendant came to know from the victim’s H account ID and password on the following grounds: (a) by accessing the Internet H game from the GPC room located in the Gangnam-si F and the third floor of Gangseo-si, the Defendant misrepresented “I” by accessing the Internet H game; and (b) accessing the victim D, thereby holding a bar code.

The Defendant immediately transferred game items worth KRW 5 million at the market price of K, L, M, N,O, etc. in the victim’s account to “P” as the Defendant’s account by entering the victim’s ID and password that he/she became aware of by deceiving H as such, and disposed of them to another person without authority.

As such, the Defendant acquired economic benefits by inputting and changing information on computers without legitimate authority.

[2020고단2503] 피고인은 2019. 11. 4. 19:50경 서울 성북구 종암동에 있는 PC방에서 온라인 PC게임 H에 캐릭터명 ‘Q’로 접속하여 피해자 B의 게임상 캐릭터명 ‘R’에게 귓속말로 지인(S)을 사칭하며, “유명 BJ T가 H 캐시 한도를 빌려 쓰고 싶어 한다”고 거짓말을 하였다.

The defendant had access to the account of the victim by means of inputting the U server ID and password from the victim, and without authority, transferred items (i.e., 1,000 won, V, other game equipment, W) to the account of the defendant in the market value of the victim.

As such, the Defendant acquired economic benefits by inputting and changing information on computers without legitimate authority.
